FAQs Teenage DrivingTeenage Drivers

Teenagers are quite the unusual breed. Most think that they know everything, and that their parents know nothing; especially when it comes to driving! Landis Insurance knows how hard it is for parents to relinquish the keys to their teenage drivers, and we are here not only for all of your teenage driver insurance needs, but we also want to provide you with a common sense tool belt to keep your teens safe on the road (even though they don’t think they need it!)

Common Sense for Safe Driving

  • Take care of your auto! Check your: Tires, Oil Level, State Inspection
  • Wear your seat belt! Remember “Click it or Ticket”!
  • Do NOT lend your auto!
    • Always have permission to use the car that you are driving.
    • Always have permission to lend your car to someone else. Your insurance usually follows the car that you’re driving, not the driver. If a friend wrecks your car, your insurance pays for the damage!
  • Never try to fit more friends in the car than you have seatbelts for!
  • Keep the radio at a reasonable volume. Turning it up too loud could cause you to miss a siren or horn that you need to hear!
  • The only thing you should be doing while driving is….DRIVING! Don’t talk on your cell phone, text your friends, fix your makeup, eat, drink or mess with your IPOD.
